PUBLIC NOTICE

The Florida High School for Accelerated Learning – Miami Campus, Inc. Board announces that

Construction Management at Risk (CMR) Services will be required for the following upcoming project:

Kendall Greens High School: - This project consists of construction of an interior build out (approx. 16,000 sf) for Kendall Greens High School located at 8610 SW 107th Avenue, Miami, FL 33173. This build out will have a reception/waiting area, student break area with vending machines only and no meals provided, boys and girls gang restroom, 3 staff/visitor’s restrooms, 9 classrooms, administration offices and conference room.

The project will be awarded to one CM.

As authorized by Florida Statute 287.055, the selected firm will provide a guaranteed maximum price with an established completion date.

To be eligible for consideration, all interested firms must, at the time of submission, be authorized to do business in the State of Florida; hold a Florida General Contractor’s license; provide proof of insurance coverage (minimum $1 million for single projects and $2 million aggregate); interested firms must submit a Statement of Qualifications showing successful completion of similar educational facilities in the State of Florida, and if shortlisted, commit to participate in an interview/presentation with the Selection Committee.

Required components of service for assigned projects will include the following:

Collaboration with the Facility Management Group (VoWolfe) and ALS Education/Board
Options analysis, value engineering, cost estimating, scheduling● Market analysis, cultivation of bidders, preparation of bid packages and bidding of trade contracts
Preparation of a Guaranteed Maximum Price
Construction management and site supervision
Reporting and documentation of subcontractor’s licenses and costs with each pay application including an updated progress schedule ● Schedule
Weekly conference/Zoom call with VoWolfe
Warranty management

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, information about your current workload, copies of your insurance certificates, and contractor’s license. Applicants should submit an original, five copies and one electronic copy (either CD or thumb drive) of their Statement of Qualifications packet. Submittal packages should not exceed fifty double sided pages in length. All submittals are due by 11/5/2020. Send or personally deliver submittals to the following address:

Interviewed firms will be ranked in order of preference by the Selection Committee. If an agreement cannot be reached with the top ranked firm, the Selection Committee will move to negotiations with the lower ranked firms in order of preference.

Note:

Professional Services Selection Committee will meet to shortlist applicants for interview at a date and time to be determined.
Professional Services Selection Committee will interview shortlisted applicants at a date and time to be determined.
School Board Approval of the CMR Selection and Contract will be on Monday, February 1, 2021
